Any mommy is going to be proud of their little one when they learn a new skill (daddy’s too of course) – that’s just part of being a mommy!! I can remember even with the boys being amazed as I watched them figure out the world! Who am I kidding....I am still amazed when they figure something new out in their little worlds!!
Well take that normal proud mommy and sprinkle some
-spina bifida on top of that then add some
-I underwent surgery while I was pregnant in hopes that he would have an “improved outcome” in this crazy wild world and you can’t forget to throw in some
-mom is a pediatric physical therapist and works with kids like you for a living so you aren’t getting away with ANYTHING and then of course there is some
-I work with some amazing people who have magic dust hiding in their fingers because he wasn’t doing any of this until we saw Lisa two weeks ago (thank you – you’re the best)
And you get this: (I couldn’t decide which one was the best so sorry…you’re getting all 3)
Yep, that’s my crazy 11 MONTH OLD PULLING TO STAND and for the record – he is pulling up on EVERYTHING – the bathtub, the coffee table, the bench, the chair and any person that happens to be sitting on the floor!! Also, just for all of you folks that don’t do this working on kids to help with their gross motor development for a living thing….THAT IS RIGHT AT AGE APPROPRIATE
Yeah, it isn’t real pretty and yeah, he doesn’t have a clue what to do with his feet but whatever – we’ll get there! For now, I’m celebrating. I can’t wipe the smile off my face and I think all of my co-workers are going to scratch their eyeballs out if I bring in ANOTHER video for them to watch (thanks everyone for putting up with me).
He’s getting so big and he is so proud of himself it is quite possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen!! Thanks for celebrating with me :)
Love and Hugs
