So so so much has been going on around this crazy house this summer. Here is the quick overview:
-Stephen got to stay home with the boys this summer which he enjoyed so much! He is actually back at work now - started last week. He is still teaching at MCS but now is teaching primarily elementary which is quite a change along with doing most of the school's IT stuff - so far he is really enjoying himself!
-The boys started solid foods - Mason is our big eater for sure!! Jace on the other hand thinks that this solid food crap is for the birds!! As of now we are eating: rice, oatmeal, apples, bananas, peaches, peas, green beans, sweet potatoes, carrots and avocado. Sweet potatoes are definitely their favorite :) Mommy has been making their food - which has actually been a lot of fun :) We are planning on trying blueberries this weekend!!
-We got to spend some time with the Diehls out at the beach condo - so much fun!! Mason and Jace got to spend some time with their cousin Barrett and found out big news - they will be having another cousin in January (Congrats Ben and Jennie) It was so great to hang out - the boys went to the beach for the first time and spent lots of time in the pool
-We also got to spend some time with my family - Heather got some time off and we spent a long weekend down in St. Pete which also involved some time in the pool along with quite a few hours spent helping mom and dad decorate the house :) It was great to spend some quality time with Aunt Heather
-The boys are MOVING!! We are not quite to crawling but we are definitely rolling A LOT and they have both figured out how to spin circles on their bellies and are quickly figuring out how to scoot across the floor!! Our life is about to take on a whole new kind of crazy busy :)
-They both continue to be great babies overall - sleeping 12 hours at night - which is allowing mommy and daddy to get some much needed rest. They both LOVE bath time - As soon as those feet hit the water they start kicking!! They are both talking all the time - it is SOOO cute! They have all kinds of stories to tell! Jace has gotten really good at his fake cough to get your attention - makes me laugh every time!! He will cough and cough until you acknowledge him then immediately stops, looks at you and grins :) Mason loves to sing back up - put him in the car, turn on the radio and there he goes "who who who who" over and over and over!
-They are working on their sharing skills!! We are so blessed to get to leave our kiddos in the capable hands of a great friend "aunt Emilee" while we are both at work. She has been coming to the house and watching out boys along with her youngest Lucy who is 6 weeks younger than the boys! She is a natural, juggles all 3 of them like it's not even a challenge and we are so thankful for her!! What a blessing to go to work and know without a doubt that both of them are being taken care of, interacted with and safe!! God is so good!!
I continue to be amazed at how fast their are growing and how I love them more and more every day! Each day as they get more and more interactive and we continue to see more and more of their individual personalities I can't imagine it getting more fun than this....and then it does!! They are changing so much every day! I can't believe that we are coming up on 6 MONTHS already!! I promise to do better keeping up with this and posting pictures more regularly!! My goal for the weekend is to get lots of pictures put up from all of our adventures this summer!
We hope that your summer has been wonderful - Love you all and God Bless
The Diehls :)
