I'm tired but slowly I'm finding my new rhythm. Thank the Lord Easton has finally decided that sleeping is a good thing! He's sleeping from 8ish to about 5ish - Now if momma could just get her butt to bed before midnight I would be feeling pretty good!! Medically there is nothing new to report with E - which in my opinion is a wonderful thing!
My precious littles at work didn't take long to share their germs with me....I've been fighing a cold the last week or so. Actually totally lost my voice over the weekend - the boys were really concerned that Ursela had taken it - boys....mommy only wishes she was a princess mermaid!! (for those of you I just totally lost....Ursela is the sea witch in Little Mermaid who takes Ariel's voice in exchange for legs). Thankfully, so far, everyone else has stayed healthy!!
Stephen is staying pretty busy at work this summer. The school used some of their fundraising money this year for technology - which makes Stephen a very happy IT guy!! He has been working his tail off getting all of the computers updated and in perfect working order for all the teachers.....who are coming back next week!! I can't believe summer is over! I feel like it totally flew by. I know Stephen has enjoyed the flexibility of the summer schedule and will miss his Friday's off!! I'm going to miss him on Fridays too!! I have enjoyed the 3 day family weekends we have gotten used to this summer!!
Mason and Jace continue to be our in house comedians!! Those two make me laugh on a daily basis!! And I just cannot believe how big they are getting!! They are completely adorable together - so worried about each other, standing up for each other and playing so well together!! They are learning more and more every day. They have taken a serious interest in spelling recently, frequently putting random letters together and then wanting to know what they spell...."Mommy, what does vhumj spell??" It's been interesting to try to explain that many of the letters they are combining just don't spell anything!! Singing is another favorite past time! I am frequently amazed at just how many songs these two know ALL of the words too!! Just tonight at dinner they both burst into song - motions and all at the dinner table and then exclaimed that they were singing a song they learned at Sunday School....Makes this momma's heart happy!! Some of their other favorites currently are "I am a C," "I've been working on the railroad," "Aleluiah" and of course there is their ultimate favorites which are Glee's version of Jingle Bells and Need A Little Christmas - yes, I still have a Christmas CD in the car and they ask to listen to it EVERY TIME WE DRIVE SOMEWHERE! So, if you are out and around in Jacksonville and happen to hear someone jamming out to some good old Glee Christmas - yeah, it's probably me!! :)
It's nice to finally have a blog post with no out of the ordinary news to report!! Just a family of 5 finding their new normal!! Looking forward to cooler weather and working on planning a few camping trips for the fall!! Hope that everyone is enjoying the last few days of summer...squeeze in a few more adventures! Happy August!
Love and Hugs!!
