Dr. Bennett came to check in this am - she is one of the MFM's who completed the surgery - and the one who has been following me most closely because Dr. Carrol has been sick :(
She continues to say that she is very happy with my progress and is cautiously optimistic that everything will go wonderfully tomorrow at my appointment (more on that later).
I did have a bit of a rough day or two - I will spare you all from the miserable details and just say that my GI track took a vacation and was enjoying itself so much it wasn't real keen on returning to it's very important job :( Now things seem to be moving right along as they should and we will hope to NEVER have to have another night like Friday - MISERABLE!!
Yesterday mom and I took a few walks, watched a ton of HGTV and even got to go on a wheelchair adventure. We headed out to the book fair that was going on over at the children's hospital and then treated ourselves to some Ben and Jerry's (yummy).
All of our nurses have been so fabulous and taken such good care of me. Though this is starting to feel a little like home I CANNOT wait to get back to my real home. I miss my bed!! And of course my kiddos and hubby too!! Plus I have a ton of Pinterest projects that I'm ready to get to work on :) So here is how we hope things will go over the next day or so...
Tomorrow I have an appointment over at the Fetal Medicine Center - trip via wheelchair - first thing in the morning. They are going to do an ultrasound and check my fluid levels which is the the deciding factor on whether or not I get to go home. If my fluid levels are normal I'm out of here....if my fluid levels are low I'm stuck for two more days, then they check again and the cycle continues! So please lots of prayers in the morning!!
As long as all is clear tomorrow Mom and I will head out to the airport Tuesday morning to head back to Jacksonville!! Thank you everyone for the prayers and encouraging messages - they have made me smile every time!! God has definitely been at work through this entire situation!! Little guy is moving around like a champ - my mom likes to say he is dancing now that his legs are working so well!! We are praying that tomorrow goes as planned and that I'll be sleeping in my own bed by Tuesday night :)
PS - A few extra prayers for Stephen - he is fighting a cold which is no fun anytime but especially when you are also dealing with toddlers and wife being away in the hospital :(
Love and hugs!
