The boys are talking - which is actually more like cooing etc a lot now - it is so sweet!! They get their whole bodies into it....their arms and legs are kicking and punching and their little tongues are moving a mile a minute all to get out a little tiny, soft ohh or ahh. So much work for such a small sound :) They are smiling all the time too - talk about melting mommy's heart (daddy's too of course) I am still attempting to get one of those precious smiles photographed....they get camera shy when mommy get the camera out!!
Along with talking and smiling they are also making leaps and bounds in the areas of gross motor development - which of course makes their pediatric physical therapist mom very proud!! They are both holding their heads up really well - Jace a little better than his brother but that's ok!! They are both rolling from tummy to back - which is making tummy time a little hard to enforce these days...but when they do play on their tummies...I am amazed at how well they can push up and hold their heads up!! Jace is doing great sitting in his Bumbo seat - Mason does good but still needs a little help with his head!
They are getting so much more interactive and so much more fun - which breaks my heart since I am headed back to work in a week and a half!! :( I am in total denial and am not really talking about it....hoping that maybe if I just don't talk about it then maybe it wont happen!! Stephen on the other hand is loving that they are more interactive now and is counting down the days until the end of the school year - which is when he gets to stay home with them!!
The boys when to prom on Saturday night - check out their awesome outfits on the picture page!! Then I got to celebrate my first mothers day on Sunday - it was a pretty special day! We dedicated the boys at church - pledging to bring them up to love the Lord. They did great - actually slept through most of it which was nice cause that meant there was no fussing while we were in front of the whole church!! Then we went to lunch with grandma and grandpa Diehl and grandma and papa Cadogan and great grandma (who were in town for the dedication) to celebrate all the moms! Aunt Lena and Uncle Greg got to join us as well which was great! The boys got me a beautiful frame that I can't wait to find a home for and pictures to fill it!
So I guess my first sentence isn't really true - there has been lots going on! We are doing great - enjoying parenthood for sure - on most days :) Can't wait for all that is to come! We have been so blessed!
