I'm definietely pregnant. I'm more uncomfortable now, more tired, not sleeping well, feeling huge and I think I literally pee 4000 times a day!! Top that off with just frankly being tired of sitting around and not being able to really do anything for myself and I can honestly say that I am looking forward to midnight feedings and poopy diapers!! At least I will be able to take myself to Target and wont have to set my timer for 15 minutes anymore!!
Our doctors appointments have gone well these last two weeks. Everything continues to be stable and this boy is growing like a weed!! He measured 4 pounds 11 oz at this last appointment. I'm continuing to measure several weeks ahead of schedule (which is not helping the "I am huge" feelings) but overall, despite my complaints am really feeling pretty good.
This week has been fun - and busy!! Stephen was on Spring Break so he has been home all week. I bet he is excited to go back to work - I am sure he is exhausted!! The boys had their 3 year well checks last week (mommy was a little behind with the scheduling) and they did AWESOME!! They were so good for the doctor - made me a proud mommy!! They showed off how smart they were - the doctor was impressed, even asked if I stayed home with them (thanks Emilee!! that says a lot about what you do with these kiddos while this working mommy is away!!) Jace was 50-75th percentile for both height and weight and Mason was 75-90th percentile for weight and 90-95th percentile for height!! They were perfectly healthy and even earned ice cream afterwards (which mommy was pretty excited about!!). The boys and daddy went on several adventures this week (Target, Publix, Lowes) and were big helpers in getting their room switched over to a big boy room. Just this morning as I watched them get dressed ALL BY THEMSELVES I sat and wondered when exactly they grew up - feels like it has all happened so fast!!
The nursery was the big project for this weekend - that and officially moving the boys into their big boy twin beds. My parents were here and helped with the overwhelming project.....we got a lot done and both rooms are totally functional at this point. I have a few projects that I would like to do in both - since there is currently nothing hanging on the walls but think I am probably going to hold off until I can get back to the store myself and look around at my options - I don't have a clear enough vision of what I want to send someone else to get it for me :)
We did make some time for fun though - Stephen and Papa 'Dogan took the boys to the store to purchace their very first fishing poles - then it was off to the lake at the park to try to catch dinner. They didn't have any success catching anything but they sure did have a good time!! They talked about it for hours after they got home!!
Easter was also a blast - the boys loved every minute of it - meeting the Easter Bunny, dying Easter eggs, Easter egg hunts, Easter baskets....they actually woke up this morning and asked if we were going to dye eggs again :) I will make sure to post pictures of Easter and the new rooms later today (the camera is downstairs, I'm upstairs and no one is home!!)
I finished up my 10th book over the weekend!! I seriously don't think I am going to let myself start another - I tend to have trouble making myself work on anything else!! I still have quite a few projects that I want to work on during my last 31 days!! I have put in a lot of hours on the twins baby book (yes I know they are three!!) and really really really want to get that finished before my time is over - I feel like it is something I would never have time to sit down and do again if I don't finish it now.....There are a few others too - I'll keep you posted if I'm actually successful in completing any of them :)
Thank you so much for all the prayers!! This little guy has so many people in his corner and that is such a blessing to his mommy and daddy!! Please continue to pray for peace for me - these days at home stuck are getting harder and harder. Also continued prayers for Stephen - the end of the school year is often crazy and he's got more responsibilities here at home to come home to as well. Thank you to everyone who has brought us dinner, come over to hang out, taken the kids for a few hours or helped with projects - we couldn't do it without you!!
Also - huge praise - I mentioned some friends of ours a few weeks ago who were going to be adopting a little girl very soon. Well I am pleased to announce that I am an aunt again to a beautiful baby girl named Hannah. She is beautiful and perfect in every way. The adoption went perfectly and she came home with mommy and daddy last week. They even stopped by last Friday after their first pediatrician appointment so I could snuggle - she is SO TINY but beautiful!! Thank you so much for all the prayers - God was definitely in every single aspect of that amazing story. Now continued prayers for the Corrals as they figure out this whole life with a newborn thing :)
